Overmoulding Process of Thick-Walled Optical Components from Arburg

This video shows the overmoulding process of thick-walled optical components from Arburg GmbH. During this process two plastic layers are injected to produce high-quality thick-walled optical components in short cycles. The quality is equally high for the lens produced either by several operations or only one operation. The optical component produced in two stages requires much less cooling time. The six-axis robotic system removes the finished lenses and transfers them to an optical testing station.
