Handheld Raman Spectrometer - TruScan RM from Thermo Fisher Scientific

Duane Sword from Thermo Fisher Scientific shows us their new handheld NIR, FTIR and Raman spectrometers. These are new technologies acquired from Ahura Scientific and Polychromics. They are suited to security, military, cistoms and police applications where they can analyze samples in transparent containers without having to actually expose the sample. Such samples may include, narcotics, pharmaceuticals, explosives, chemical weapons and industrial chemicals.

Duane pays particular attention to the TruScan RM which was recently introduces and is the world's smallest Raman spectrometer . It enables non-contact, non-invasive identification of materials. He demonstrates just how easy it is to use and how quickly it produces results.
