The JEOL ROYAL PROBE™ AUTOMAS offers an innovative solution for liquid NMR users who previously found solid-state NMR probes difficult or inconvenient to operate.
Features of the ROYAL PROBE™ AUTOMAS include:

- Makes use of the current auto sample changer and auto-tuning feature exactly as is
- Provides the same level of user-friendliness as liquid NMR probes for standard measurements.

Smooth Sample Exchange
The need for probe exchange in solid-state NMR measurements is eliminated. Samples can be loaded and ejected from above the magnet via the ROTORCARRIER™ without touching the probe, just like when using liquid samples, by setting a solid sample tube inside the device that looks like the rotor used for the liquid sample tubes.
Automatic Tuning
The solid NMR probes need to be manually adjusted, in contrast to liquid probes. The ROYAL PROBE™ AUTOMAS can tune different nuclei without touching the probe because it uses the same Auto Tuning Unit as the liquid NMR probes.

Continuous Automatic Measurements
It is possible to use the current Auto Sample Changer as is with the ROYAL PROBE™ AUTOMAS. Simply placing the ROTORCARRIER™ loaded with the solid sample tube in a slot of the Auto Sample Changer and configuring the Delta NMR software to measure parameters like temperature, sample spinning speed, and pulse sequences in the same way as liquid-state NMR measurements allow for continuous automatic measurements.
