AccuTOF-DART 4G: Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer

The AccuTOF-DART® 4G is a high-resolution time-of-flight mass spectrometer (API-HRTOFMS) that uses atmospheric pressure ionization. Built for both performance and flexibility, it supports a variety of interchangeable atmospheric and ambient ionization sources, making it a powerful solution across multiple application areas.

With its rapid operation and intuitive interface, the AccuTOF-DART 4G is designed to keep up with the pace of your workflow.

Direct Analysis in Real Time DART - A Powerful Problem-Solving Tool

The AccuTOF-DART 4G makes it easy to determine chemical composition and generate high-resolution, accurate mass spectra—simply place the sample in its native state between the DART ion source and the AccuTOF mass spectrometer inlet.

The DART source can ionize nearly anything placed in front of it, including reaction mixtures, crude extracts, unknown powders or pills, polymers, adhesives, surface contaminants, sticky liquids, vapors, TLC plates, and more. In most cases, little to no sample preparation is needed, allowing for faster, more efficient analysis.

The AccuTOF Advantage

The AccuTOF-DART combines JEOL’s advanced time-of-flight mass spectrometer with the open-air DART ion source—an integration that redefined ambient ionization in mass spectrometry. Built directly onto the AccuTOF platform, the DART source is fully integrated, requiring no extra pumps, flanges, or interface hardware. This streamlined setup enables ambient ionization experiments that would be difficult or impractical with other systems, while delivering clean, reproducible, and easy-to-interpret data.

Now in its third generation, the AccuTOF-DART 4G is a true “Ambient Ionization Toolbox”, offering flexible ionization options tailored to a wide variety of sample types. The DART source supports multiple operational modes, and users can switch between various ambient ionization methods, without needing to remove the source from the instrument.
