IKA Temperature Control - RC 5 Control

IKA’s RC 5 Control is a powerful recirculating chiller, designed to provide efficient cooling of external applications up to -30 °C.

The chiller is not only energy-efficient, but it is operated with an eco-friendly refrigerant and is able to reach a high power density. This efficiency results in a comparatively small working space, ideal for labs where bench space is at a premium.

Indirect, continuous adjustment of the maximum pressure and flow rate is possible due to the speed-controlled PEEK pump. The PT 100 temperature sensor (part of the delivery) offers outstanding temperature stability of around ± 0,1 K meaning that the RC 5 can perform with even the most sophisticated applications.

The RC 5 can be operated safely and conveniently from anywhere in the lab with the Wireless Controller (WiCo). Processes can be simplified and automated using a series of 10 freely programmable temperature ramps, each one able to accommodate 10 steps.

The unit’s isolated 7 liter bath has an integrated hopper and drain valve to ensure clean and safe handling of the thermofluid. It is possible to attach a hose to the bath, allowing this to be safely emptied without direct contact with the thermofluid itself.

The cooling unit’s air filter can be accessed for cleaning via an easy-to-open front flap.
