PI Hexapods for Precision Automation Applications
This video showcases PI Hexapods that provide a unique way of controlling motion with six degrees of freedom. One of the key differentiators to traditional multi-axis positioning systems is the randomized, software-programmable pivot point. Hexapods are manufactured by PI in various shapes and sizes, and they are capable of handling nano-meter precision motion of small loads to sub-micron precision handling units for equipment with several tons. All drive types can be matched to meet the conditions of individual applications.
