PI Piezo Disks for Generation of Homogenous Aerosols

This video shows how homogenous aerosols are produced by means of specially-shaped piezo disks. A continuous drive is required by nebulizers to generate a homogenous aerosol. Here, the specially-shaped piezo disks function as ultrasonic transducers and excite a perforated diaphragm to carry out ultrasonic oscillations at up to several 100 kHz. This produces predominantly homogenous aerosols, which can be dosed rapidly and precisely for targeted administration. Maximum positioning accuracy is critical in various fields of industry and research, such as semiconductor manufacturing, surface measurement technology, microscopy, medical engineering, biotechnology, and automation technology.
