PI Offers Piezo Scanners for Image Stabilization and Microscanning

This video shows image stabilization and microscanning. High resolution and stability are vital for the precision of imaging techniques in biometry or in medical research and diagnostics. For this reason, the imaging components are moved rapidly and precisely. This offsets the oscillations caused by external forces. Microscanning, additionally, increases the resolution through rapid motions between the individual pixels of a sensor chip. Rapid, piezo-based 2D scanners stabilize the image information, interpolate, and superimpose, creating an image with a higher resolution.
