The TCM series is primarily adapted for production settings. This economical, motorized, ergonomic tester connected with Lloyd Instruments’ Chatillon DF Series digital force gauges makes tensile, peel, compression, and flexural testing of a customer’s samples a simple task.
The motorized TCM Series force testers comprise of a small footprint while persevering ample clearance for large samples. With a suitable 100 mm (3.9 in) throat clearance, testing of large samples is no longer a constraint. The universal adapter plate with International threads sizes matching ASM and Metric threads sizes offer flexibility for setting up standard and custom fixtures.
The force testers are fitted with tactile buttons having haptic feedback that contains no moving parts or membranes. This maximizes sturdiness, particularly in production surroundings, and guarantees that the buttons can be cleaned in an easy manner. The haptic feedback creates a vibration to alert users when a command is received. The TCM Series force testers can also be run with an optional footswitch controller.
A bright LED digital display shows the travel speed and other text messages for users to constantly be able to keep track of the status of the TCM tester. A high rate return speed is incorporated into the TCM force testers to optimize production throughput to the fullest. Modifiable Upper and Lower mechanical limit switches are incorporated for safety and are used for various modes of operation as Cycling and Return To Zero.
With Cycle and Auto Return Modes, a small footprint, Universal Auto Switching A/C input and sturdy tactile buttons with haptic feedback, the TCM Series is suitable for customer’s testing requirements.
The two versions of the motorized TCM Series force testers are available — the TCM100 with a force capacity of up to 100 lbf (500 N), and the TCM350 with capacity up to 350 lbf (1500 N).
Both force testers are designed with a basic crosshead travel of 406 mm (16 in) and are available in extended editions with a crosshead travel of 812 mm (32 in). A throat depth at a full 100 mm (3.9 in) allows the operator to carry out force tests such as tension, adhesion, bending, peeling, compression, insertion, and extraction on samples up to 200 mm (7.8 in). This gives the operator a wide range of testing options at a large working area while maintaining a compact footprint.
Travel speed is modifiable from 0.2 to 20 in/minute or to 5 to 500 mm/minute.
