DSX1000 Digital Microscope for Failure Analysis

Olympus’ DSX1000 digital microscope is designed to enable faster failure analysis. It comes in four easy-to-use models—Entry, Tilt, High-Resolution, and High-End—to suit a variety of needs. Discover its time-saving features, including:

  • Rapid macro-to-micro viewing
  • A wide range of easy-to-change lenses
  • A telecentric optical system for accurate measurements
  • Switch between six different observation methods by pushing a button

DSX1000 Objective Lenses

Olympus offers a range of 17 DSX objective lenses, including super long working distance and high numerical aperture options. The lenses provide flexibility to achieve an extensive range of images.

  • Super Long Working Distance Objective Lens: offers a long working distance between the sample and lens.
  • High-Resolution, Long Working Distance Objective Lens: provides a long working distance and high resolution.
  • High-Performance, High Numerical Aperture Objective Lens: delivers high performance at the nanoscale.

The Tool of Choice for Failure Analysis

A combination of speed, accuracy, and repeatability makes the DSX1000 digital microscope the ideal tool for failure analysis.

Five Benefits of the DSX1000 Series Digital Microscope Over Traditional Digital Microscopes.
Source: Olympus Scientific Solutions Americas NDT

All-in-one system with a wide magnification range With the DSX1000 digital microscope, users can complete inspections with a single easy-to-use system. With a traditional digital microscope, two microscopes—a high-magnification model and a low-magnification model—are required to complete an inspection.
High-resolution image at high magnification With the DSX1000 digital microscope, long-working distance and high resolution are achieved in one objective. With a traditional digital microscope, resolution decreases as magnification increases.
Long working distance objectives With the DSX1000 digital microscope, users can view uneven samples without bumping into them. With a traditional digital microscope, the objective can crash into the sample and potentially damage it.
Multiple observations with a single click With the DSX1000 digital microscope, all six observation methods are available at all magnifications. With a traditional digital microscope, just one or two observation techniques are available, restricting what can be observed in the sample.
Guaranteed accuracy and precision With the DSX1000 digital microscope, both repeatability and accuracy are guaranteed at all magnifications. With a traditional digital microscope, the measurement accuracy is not guaranteed.
