Integrated Accelerometer for Vibration & Shock Measurement

The Model 966 Piezoelectric Accelerometer from Columbia Research Laboratories has been particularly developed for the measurement of high frequency, intermediate to high-level shock and vibration. It integrates a hybrid electronic assembly inside a rough, welded, double-wall stainless steel body to improve its functioning in humid and filthy surroundings.

The double-wall and electrically isolated construction of the sensor offer extra isolation from metallic structures, which helps in obtaining precise, wideband shock and vibration data uninterrupted by electrical ground loop currents.

The sensor module has been bonded into the outer stainless-steel body with a high temperature and glass-filled polymer insulator. Low impedance output of 100 ohms or less enables functioning straight into standard readout equipment in the absence of auxiliary signal conditioning.

Also, it has the potential to drive up to 500 ft of shielded cable. Users can consult the factory for customized versions of this sensor.
