AIR-200 Standard Air Jet Sieving Machine provides an improved sieving experience when compared to the AIMSIZER three-dimensional electromagnetic sieve shaker. It uses air jets instead of gravity to assess the particle size distribution and size limits of powders. The instrument is also used for separating and filtering the powders with improved efficiency.
The AIR-200’s design contrasts with the AIMSIZER three-dimensional electromagnetic sieve shaker in having a nozzle, sieve chamber, collector for sieved samples, transparent cover, standard test sieve, sieving control and analysis system, vacuum cleaner, and more.
It helps in reducing the sieving time, improving efficiency, effectively removing agglomeration and static electricity, and minimizing screen clogging. It can also sieve particles down to 3 μm. The instrument also automatically calculates and displays the percentage of materials retained on the sieve and provides printed reports of the sieving results.
The equipment adheres to ASTM D5158, the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP), ISO 4610, and the European Pharmacopoeia (EP) standards.

The instrument's electronic vortex generator, assisted by the vacuum, creates a negative-pressure air vortex. This propels the powder through the nozzle to collide with the transparent cover. After the powder is de-agglomerated, it is fed back into the standard test sieve by the vortex based on particle size. Larger particles are retained on the sieve’s surface, while smaller particles pass through the sieve and are collected.
The weight of the residue on the collection sieve is measured, and the data is entered into the software, which automatically calculates and prints the percentage of powder retained using the integrated thermal printer.
