The Thermo Scientific™ MSA-430 Multi-Stream Slurry XRF Analyzer provides real-time elemental analysis for up to 12 slurry streams, enabling monitoring and management of mineral beneficiation processes. MSA-430, which uses an air-cooled, low-power X-ray tube for good reliability and low cost, is safer because it does not use radioisotopes.

By maintaining each stream in its own analysis zone, MSA-430 XRF System minimizes cross-contamination without the need for a multiplexer or demultiplexer, reducing head loss and plant elevation requirements. For outdoor industrial applications.

The MSA-430 Multi-Stream Slurry XRF Analyzer measures percent solids and up to 20 elements for three to 12 slurry streams using a specified schedule, providing real-time process trend information for monitoring and management.
- The MEP-400 Multi-Element Probe makes use of an air-cooled low-power X-ray tube to ensure extended life and minimal maintenance costs. The absence of radioisotopes improves operational safety
- The advanced energy dispersive Silicon Drift Detector and high throughput Digital Signal Processor enable high accuracy measurement and lower limits of detection from calcium to uranium, and the integrated Peltier cooler ensures dependable, trouble-free operation
- MSA-430 is designed for use in outdoor industrial conditions
- MSA-430 is a low head loss solution that does not require a multiplexer or demultiplexer, reducing the requirement for pumps and minimizing the deployment and operational expenses of a centralized analyzer system
- Cross-contamination is reduced, and sample return is made easier by a dedicated, distinct channel for each process stream, from sample point to sample discharge
- Sampling for analyzer calibration and shift composite samples is provided by a cross-cut sampler for every stream
- Flow rate capability provides more representative measurements by managing the whole flow of low-flow-rate process streams. Higher flow rate streams can be sampled using a gravity pipe or pressure pipe process sampler
- The specific cross-cut samplers in the MSA-430 can be used to get composite samples for metallurgical balancing when handling full flow or when supplied from a SamStat-30 rather than a pressure pipe or gravity pipe sampler
- Each composite sampler has an optional vacuum filter, which reduces manual handling at the conclusion of shifts and saves time
