Heat Resistant Textiles and Fabrics - HYTEX®

Mid-Mountain manufactures heat resistant textiles and fabric designed for use as thermal barriers and thermal seals in moderate to severe environments.

In 1976, Mid-Mountain started manufacturing Channel Tapes and Tadpole Gaskets for use as seals in pellet stoves and gas fireplaces. Ever since they have engineered a wide range of textiles used as thermal barriers and thermal seals across several industries.

Made with a wide range of substrates, the HYTEX® heat resistant textiles and high temperature fabrics have a continuous operating temperature from 400 °F (204 °C) to 5000 °F (2760 °C) (without any oxygen present). Many standard products are available in configurations of knit or woven fabric, knit or braided rope (both square and round), knit or woven tape, and knit or braided sleeving.

Mid-Mountain can also laminate with foil or pressure-sensitive adhesive or apply a specialty coating for applications that require more heat, chemical or abrasion resistance.
