Koehler K80050 Standard Ductility Tester for Material Flexibility Testing

This Koehler standard ductility testing machine is a three-speed apparatus that pulls briquets of bituminous materials apart at a uniform speed while immersing them in water. Up to three specimens can be tested at once at speeds of 0.25, 1, or 5 cm per minute. A synchronous direct motor drive unit maintains constant speed without vibration.

The drive unit rides on a bronze lead screw mounted above the water level to prevent agitation and premature specimen rupture. A traveling pointer shows the position of the carriage against a linear centimeter scale on the trough. Elongation capacity is 150 cm, with automatic carriage stop. The polished stainless steel trough includes an overflow connection. Bronze gears and solid brass components help prevent rusting.

Adheres to: ASTM D113; P226; AASHTO T51; ANS A37.11; Federal Specification SS-R-406C; USDA Method 5 (BUL 12-16); DIN 52013

Testing Capacity: Three standard ductility samples and two force ductility samples.
