The Koehler K45000 front-view distillation apparatus performs distillation by evaporating and condensing the sample under controlled conditions. Observations are made of the temperatures at which specific volume percentages are recovered, or the volume percentages recovered at specified temperatures.
This apparatus meets all ASTM and related specifications for Groups 0, 1, 2, and 3 distillations, including motor and aviation gasolines, aviation turbine fuels, naphthas, kerosenes, distillate fuels, natural gasoline, liquid hydrocarbon mixtures, and other petroleum products.
The unit features fully insulated stainless steel condenser and heater components. The heater unit includes a flask support platform, viewing window, 1000 W heater with stepless variable control, and a rack-and-pinion heater elevation mechanism with a push-turn control knob. (Higher wattage heaters are available upon request.) A white background behind the receiving flask enhances visibility of fractions during testing.
It is available with either a right-hand or left-hand heater unit to allow convenient setup in dual-unit configurations (right-hand unit is standard). Includes graduate support block and flask support boards.
Various accessories such as flasks, graduates, extra support boards, silicone plugs, and thermometers are available new at additional cost.
