HTF Fluid for Extreme Conditions

HTF fluid fill is suitable for hazardous environments and is engineered for high temperatures and intrinsically safe operations.

Why Not Mercury?

Mercury has been the preferred fill fluid due to its 400 °C maximum process temperature, low measurement error, and explosion-proof performance. However, mercury is unsuitable for many applications, particularly given increasing limits and safety concerns. HTF is a sustainable fill material for hazardous settings that can be used in industrial operations to meet REACH and RoHS regulations.

Why Other Alternatives Fall Short?

  • NaK: Non-hazardous area authorized
  • Capacitance: Not explosion-proof
  • Food Grade Oil: Only up to 275 °C, elephant in, and non-C1D1 compliant

HTF was Built to Fill the Gap

  • Mercury free
  • High temperature rated (up to 350 °C)
  • Hazardous compliant
