The AP Series Ductless Fume Hood from Glas-Col offers a secure work environment for laboratory staff working with acids and rough chemicals. The hood consists of a sophisticated VAV (Variable Air Volume) system.
The VAV system quantifies the air velocity by making use of a high-quality sensor and adjusting the air velocity speed to the appropriate standard.
The system has been specifically developed to keep detrimental airborne contaminants away from the respiratory zone of the operator. Several filter media is utilized based on the kind of chemical vapors and/or particulate that is produced.
As the air has been recirculated, no exterior ducting is essential. The system features a high safety level, exhibiting real-time air velocity and providing alarms for low-velocity levels.
