A getter-based purification unit designed to purify carrier gases used in Gas Chromatography (GC) and other analytical applications.
Overview
A Getter-Based Purifier for Light Hydrocarbon Measurements
The PureGas effectively lowers outlet impurity levels to low parts-per-billion (ppb) or lower for oxygen, moisture, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, methane, and nitrogen.
The patented getter alloy, which operates at high temperatures, eliminates impurities by forming irreversible chemical bonds.
When the purifier is used according to specifications, these impurities will remain contained under all conditions.
Features and Benefits
The Benefits of Getter-Based Purification
The PureGas is engineered to enhance the purification of inert sample gases that already possess a minimum purity level of less than 10 parts per million (ppm).
Stable Operation
The exterior of the PureGas is finished in a deep blue anodized coating, ensuring a surface temperature of 45 ºC (113 ºF). This unit features highly efficient ceramic fiber insulation along with an encapsulated heating coil. It is engineered for continuous operation without requiring maintenance, provided that the gas being used is the carrier gas.
Reliable Getter Technology
When gas molecules collide with the getter material of the PureGas, they either chemically bond with it or are absorbed, eliminating trace amounts of gas from the evacuated area. There is no need for any moving components.
The Right Fittings for Your Needs
The purifier is delivered completely assembled and is available with either 1/8 compression fittings or Vacuum Coupling Radiation (VCR) fittings, based on the purity requirements. Purity levels range from < 10 ppb to < 1 ppb.
Standard Features
- The deep blue anodized exterior ensures a surface temperature of 45 °C
- It features efficient ceramic fiber insulation along with an encapsulated heater coil
- A 20 μm sintered filter is present on both the inlet and outlet
- Optional 1/8" VCR compression fittings are available
Specifications
The PureGas system effectively purifies inert gases, including argon, helium, neon, xenon, and krypton, by utilizing a getter alloy that eliminates various impurities from the sample gas.
