ADR1500 Area Dust Monitor

The Thermo Scientific™ ADR1500 Area Dust Monitor is an ambient, real-time instrument developed for continuous monitoring. It can be easily transported and installed.

The Thermo Scientific Model ADR1500 Dust Monitor makes use of the highly sensitive light-scattering photometer (nephelometer) technology similar to the Thermo Scientific™ pDR series.

The intensity of the light scattered by airborne particles that pass via the sensing chamber is linearly proportional to their concentration. This optical configuration generates an ideal response to particles, thereby offering continuous measurements of the concentrations of airborne particles for total particulate and cut-points varying from PM10 down to PM1.

The ADR1500 houses a temperature and relative humidity (RH) sensor together with an internal heater to reduce the positive bias with high ambient RH. Moreover, the flow control is truly volumetric and maintained through digital feedback of the onboard barometric pressure sensor, temperature sensor and calibrated differential pressure over a precision orifice.

The principles of true volumetric flow, as integrated by the ADR1500, lead to a precise sample volume and accurate particle cut-point.
