Q ExtraTechnology, available from HORIBA Scientific, is an advanced, anti-reflective multi-layer coating that offers excellent quantum efficiency for experiments requiring coverage from UV to NIR, while limiting etaloning effects visible at longer wavelengths in back-illuminated deep depleted cameras. Q ExtraTechnology has been specifically developed to enhance quantum efficiency across a wide range of spectra and limit unwanted etaloning effects.

In addition, the Q ExtraTechnology offers high sensitivity that makes HORIBA’s BIDDs as suitable scientific cameras for fluorescence, luminescence and Raman spectroscopy measurements. The latest Q ExtraTechnology now comes with HORIBA’s thermoelectrically cooled Synapse CCD cameras and low-noise, liquid-nitrogen-cooled Symphony II CCD cameras.
