MCD Series Bidirectional Dual-valve Mass Flow Controllers from Alicat

Alicat has launched the MCD Series bidirectional mass flow controllers that control flows into a process in one direction and then change directions. They also control flows into a closed process and then vent the volume without the necessity for additional bleed valves.

The flow controller is versatile and easy to use and can measure mass flow and volumetric flow in both directions. It can even control absolute pressure in a flowing process.

The MCD series mass flow controllers have very few moving parts, thanks to Alicat’s patented technology. The units are rated with accuracies of +/-(0.8% of reading + 0.2% of full scale), and feature a local display that can be used by users to make changes to the unit’s configuration without the need for PCs or complicated software.
