Overview
The NexION 2200 ICP-MS features a unique combination of exclusive technologies:
- Three quadrupoles:
- The Quadrupole Ion Deflector (Q0) sends ions to the Universal Cell (Q1) at varying voltages, maximizing target ion sensitivity while reducing undesired masses
- The Quadrupole Universal Cell (Q1) can employ up to three gases and mix them on the fly for collision or reaction modes. The unique quadruple cell is driven by dynamic bandpass tuning, which prevents reaction byproducts from interfering with target analytes
- The Transmission Analyzer Quadrupole (Q2, full-sized for < 0.7 amu mass resolution) functions as a mass filter or ion guide, directing ions to the detector.
- The OmniRing™ technology in the second-generation Triple Cone Interface allows for three modes of operation, eliminating the requirement for separate inserts or lenses seen in other commercial ICP-MS systems. This provides exceptional versatility for a multitude of applications.
- The proprietary Extended Dynamic Range (EDR) enhances linear dynamic range to 1014, enabling the simultaneous analysis of high- and low-concentration analytes, resulting in fewer re-runs
- The powerful All Matrix Solution (AMS) allows for online gas dilution, which improves efficiency and prevents contamination. It can give up to 200× dilution and support samples with up to 35% total dissolved solids
- The novel free-running RF Generator with unique LumiCoil™ RF load coil is specifically intended for ICP-MS applications, providing precise impedance matching to readily handle the most demanding matrices and solvents. This unique combination provides better plasma power and stability, resulting in unrivaled performance, robustness, and dependability
- For unwavering performance, resilience, and dependability, this ground-breaking combination offers exceptional plasma power and stability.
- Low maintenance for increased uptime:
- The Triple Cone Interface and Quadrupole Ion Deflector combination requires no maintenance beyond the cones, allowing for continuous operation and greater stability
- The 34 MHz free-running RF generator provides a trouble-free user experience; the plasma is created by the unique LumiCoil RF load coil, which does not require water or gas cooling, making it maintenance-free and removing the need to replace plasma load coils
- Users can carry out essential daily chores using the innovative LCD touchscreen, such as hardware control, results evaluations, analytics, diagnostics for instrument parameters, access integrated training films, and more
- External status LED lighting increases efficiency in the laboratory by making the condition of analysis easily visible
- The Syngistix™ for ICP-MS software has an up-to-date, user-friendly interface with left-to-right navigation and a simplified experience that emulates a regular everyday workflow
