Micro-Z ULS - Wavelength Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence Sulfur Analyzer

The Micro Z-ULS WDXRF instrument is especially designed for ultra-low level sulfur analysis of petrol, diesel and other fuels. The instrument features an innovative design that determines both the background intensity and the sulfur peak.

The ability to measure and correct for changes in background intensity delivers a better net peak intensity measurement, resulting in perfect calibrations and improved real world precision. Rigaku Micro-Z ULS is compliant with ASTM 2622-10, ISO 20884 and JIS K2541-7 methods.

The Rigaku Micro-Z ULS is the perfect solution for sulfur analysis of petroleum based fuels, with a lower limit of detection (LLD) of 0.3ppm sulfur. The instrument features robust fixed optics in a vacuum environment and features a specially designed doubly curved RX-9 analyzing crystal and the Micro Z ULS delivers consistent high sensitivity measurements.

It is designed specifically for non-technical users, all operations from calibration through routine analysis can be performed through the easy-to-use interface.

Key Features

The key features of the Micro-Z ULS are:

  • Ultra-low sulfur analysis of diesel and gasoline
  • 0.3 ppm lower limit of detection (LLD)
  • No He(g) purge required
  • Easy-to-use benchtop analyzer
  • Complies with ASTM D2622-10, ISO 20884 and JIS K2541-7

Applications

XRF spectrometry is a definitive analysis tool for use at refineries and distribution terminals as well as stationary testing or mobile laboratories.

The Micro-Z ULS (ultra low sulfur) is a newly developed sulfur analyzer which does not require helium gas to operate.
