Laird CoolZorb 600: A Custom Thermal Material for EMI Mitigation

CoolZorb 600 is a second-generation hybrid material designed for both EMI mitigation and thermal management. Like a traditional thermal gap filler, it is placed between a heat source - such as an integrated circuit (IC) - and a heat sink, metal chassis, or other heat-dissipating component.

In addition to managing heat, CoolZorb 600 effectively suppresses unwanted energy coupling, resonances, and surface currents that can lead to board-level EMI issues.

Benefits

  • Good thermal conductivity (3 W/mK) with broad EMI suppression across the 20-90 GHz GHz range
  • Naturally tacky surface for easy handling and placement, similar to standard thermal gap fillers
  • Enhances the reliability and long-term performance of electronics
  • Tested to meet UL 94 V-0 flame requirements
