JEM-2100Plus LaB6 TEM: Transmission Electron Microscope

The JEM-2100Plus is a versatile 200 kV LaB6 TEM designed to support a wide range of applications, from materials science to biological and medical research, all while maintaining a low cost of ownership.

With an advanced control system, the JEM-2100Plus offers seamless integration of STEM, EDS, and EELS, as well as support for remote operation. Its user-friendly “TEM Center” software consolidates column, STEM, and camera controls into a single intuitive interface. Users can easily switch between various illumination modes with a simple touch of a button.

For imaging and diffraction, the system offers the optional JEOL-designed “Matataki Flash” bottom-mount camera, featuring a state-of-the-art sCMOS sensor for fast, high-quality data acquisition.

The JEM-2100Plus also includes a high-stability goniometer stage optimized for high-tilt tomographic applications, with an optional x/y piezo stage available for added precision.

Its three independent condenser lenses enable optimized probe conditions tailored to different techniques, such as EDX or NBD, enhancing both analytical and diffraction performance. JEOL’s patented Alpha Selector further expands flexibility by allowing users to switch between illumination modes—from full convergent beam to parallel illumination. Lorentz microscopy comes standard, thanks to the built-in objective mini lens, and a high-contrast aperture is available for any polepiece choice, enabling high-contrast imaging with simultaneous EDS.

To accommodate different lab environments, the JEM-2100Plus offers various pumping configurations, including fully dry/turbo-pumped systems for facilities where oil-based or rotary pumps are not suitable.
