IB-29510VET: Vacuum Evaporator for Vacuum Specimen Preparation

The IB-29510VET (turbo pump) Vacuum Evaporator is a high-vacuum specimen preparation device designed to simplify sample preparation for imaging and analysis using electron microscopes.

It is especially helpful for quickly creating carbon evaporation-based fine-grain TEM specimen support films, as well as for evaporating various metals and other materials to create shadow-cast specimens and replicas.

The Vacuum Evaporator produces very thin, amorphous C coatings for BSE imaging and X-ray microanalysis using SEM and EPMA, as well as fine-grain conductive metal coatings for imaging.

With its built-in automatic evacuation system, the turbomolecular pump guarantees a very hygienic, high-vacuum working environment. An LN2 cold trap can also be added.

Key Features

  • Carbon thin-film evaporation is appropriate for chemical analysis using EDS or WDS and high-resolution observation using SE and BSE
  • Evaporation of different metal thin films
  • Conductive coating for non-conductive material imaging and analysis
  • Shadowing evaporation of different metals
  • Thermal processing, including electron microscopy aperture-foil cleaning
  • Vacuum system based on TMP
